The Purple Sweater: Daytime

The Girl. The Purple Sweater. The Daytime.
Urban Outfitters has been killing me with their consent e-mails about 25% off sweaters (why do they do this to me they know my weakness is comfy sweaters!). I finally broke down and bought this deep purple kimchi blue sweater. And now, you will rarely find me wearing anything else.

If you look closely you can see that my bag is actually an old cannon lens bag/case I found in the thrift store which storefront parallels this art filled alley.

Sweater: Urban Outfitters
Top: Free People
Pants: Urban Outfitters

Hat (or as my boyfriend calls it, an "urban sombrero"): Target
Necklace: Forever 21
Sunnies: Antropolgie
Bag: Thrifted
Shoes: Jui Jui

San Francisco is still revealing its strange wonders to me everyday. Turn a corner and you can be enveloped into an alley of art.

Tales of San Francisco in October

Tales of San Francisco in October

As you may have noticed the blog has been lacking content and I truly apologize.

I recently began my studies at university in a new city. Sadly, blogging has taken a backseat to my studies which have become increasingly more important to me. Though things like fashion week and the latest edition of rookie mag have also become increasingly more important to me as well. However I will refuse to neglect my blog and will be bringing new fashion daydreams to Oh How Very Peachy more often starting this month.

If any of you follow me on tumblr(ohhowverypeachy.tumblr.com) you may notice that I am constantly posting on there because my phone is attached to my hip 24/7 like every other technology obsessed american.

but for now...
i've been wandering around San Francisco
Dress: Brandy
 Jacket: Nordstrom
 Bag:Vintage
 Shoes: Deena and Ozzy
Sunglasses: thrift store find

Urban Outfitters offers a variety of brands when it comes to shoes but one of recent favorites are the Denna and Ozzy shoes. For shoes with a little bit of a heel they are extremely comfy.

My roommate, Natasha, whom took all these amazing photos.

We started a bucket list and here are a few of the things we checked off the list:

1. Hippie Tree

My roommate and I ventured over the bridge to this tree with a beautiful view of San Francisco and the golden gate bridge. And to make it even more cute it has a swing.

2. Kitchen Story in the Mission District

One of the best gluten free panini's I have ever had in my entire life. This could be completely bias though because i have been eating terrible university food for the last week so anything is better than the sandwiches in the dinning halls.

FW Fall 2014 Haute Couture - Dior

PFW

Christian Dior

FALL 2014 COUTURE

So far, Dior's show has been my favorite from PWF. But considering my extreme indecisiveness I will probably have ten more favorite shows by the time I finish writing this post.

This latest Couture collection for Dior was designed by the iconic Raf Simons, Dior's most recent creative director. The show was an eight part fashion masterpiece. Simons seemed to change centuries every few designs; "from the Marie Antoinette-inspired pannier silhouettes to astronauts' jumpsuits, back to embroidered court jackets and forward again to twenties volumes."

Silently praying that 18th century gloves are making a comeback because these are stunning.

......and the shoes!!!
If I could I would own them in every color possible.

The finale dress reminded me of the gowns in Sofia Coppola's film Marie Antoinette.

new goal in life: wear this dress to a ball.

18

Recently I started my 18th year of life. This is how spent day one of the 18th year.

We ventured to LA to see an art installation, but first, coffee.

We walked to the MOCA Pacific design center to see one of my most beloved artists, Jacob Hashimoto. See more of his work here.

The thing about art installations is they often inspire more art. Sometimes in the form of photography.

 A strange thing happened....
We slowly became apart of the art when we decided to lay under one of the parts of the installation that had clouds printed on it. A group of dreamers under a million paper clouds in a paper town filled with paper dolls.

All of a sudden it was like we were a part of the exhibit, strangers taking photos of us sitting under the clouds. Some of them were so kind to come up to us after and send us the photos (which turned out pretty cool).

Jacob Hashimoto's Gas Giant

Art has always been a huge part of my life. I have probably send it over 1,000 times but fashion inspires art and art inspires fashion. It is a delicate ecosystem.

revival

Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist
This has never been more relevant to my life then now. I must prepare for the next four years of my life, as well as try to enjoy the last few days of my childhood.

If anyone happened to notice, I took a small break from blogging so that I could figure my life out, and focus on a few other things:

During this break I realized many things

1.that whole cliché  "growing up is trap" quote you see literally everywhere happens to be spot on.
2. never let anything get in the way of doing something you love
3. running your own company is really hard and takes a lot of passion and long nights with much coffee, but also is very rewarding.
4.I really missed blogging.

...

Now that I have a finally figured out a foundation for the next four years of my life I can look onto new things,
especially the revival of Oh How Very Peachy

What to look forward to:

sorry, i only shop at the chanel supermarket

to see where this fabulous banana art (shown above) came from click here

Chanel just did something so cool there are no words.

Chanel's Autumn/Winter 2014 show in Paris was in a fully stocked supermarket! A CHANEL supermarket!

The Chanel supermarket set that filled the Grand Palais in Paris.

Models walked throught the market that was fully stocked with fake foods. “Délice de Gabrielle,” read a tin of tuna, referring to Mademoiselle Chanel’s real first name.

No words are necessary to describe the coolness of this show.

The hair and makeup was equally extraordinary

So many tweed coats it was amazing!

Thanks Chanel for now raising my standers of supermarkets.

Karl is truly the most creative man in fashion.
