Inspiration from the carpet: The Oscars

Academy Awards.
Mostly i just watch to see who wins best costume design.

Jennifer Lawrence by far had the best dress. Her Christian Dior Couture gown is absolutely stunning.I mean she looks like a princess!Congrats on the Oscar for best actress!

Kristen looked awesome in this Naeem Khan gown. Her style has evolved so much and now instead of looking dead(haha she plays a vampire) all the time, she is looking chic and sophisticated on the red carpet. Even though she had a sprained ankle and looked like she was completely out of it the entire time she was there, she rocked the red carpet with a smile.

Amanda Seyfried looking very elegant-cute in an Alexander McQueen dress.

The fact that Charlize Theron can wear a simple white dress and look amazing makes me so jealous.

My two favorite men <3 Eddie Redmayne and Joseph Gordon-Levitt

Carpet Trend: Tulle

Octavia Spencer's Gorgeous Tadashi Shoji gown and Fatima Ptacek's Bonnie Young dress.

My favorite tulle dress was on Amy Adams in an Oscar de la Renta dress and Moa jewelry. It was so whimsical and light. Reminded me of something from a fairytale.

Fashion Travels: LA

LA/West Hollywood/Beverly Hills/Santa Monica
Fashion Finds
.   .   .
Had such a fun-fulled week in Los Angels! With the Oscar setup going on a block away, a Vanity Fair party at my hotel to shopping on Melrose Ave, the fun never ended.
Some of my fashion finds. Loving this springs color trends.

While in the fashion district in LA i stopped by the American Apparel factory to check out their "Factory Flea Market".  It's a really cool experience to see how your clothes are made.
I got some great pieces for this spring and summer.

The Grove

Then on to The Grove to check out the new Topshop store! I've been obsessed with Topshop's clothes forever and we finally got a store in southern California!! I grabbed a staple pieces for spring; a mint circle skirt. Plus i picked up some of Topshop's famous tights.

The Fashion District

I headed to the fashion district in downtown LA to find some super cheap interesting fabrics. There was so much fabric! It was completely overwhelming but i found some amazing fabrics for some dresses. Above are two of the many fabrics i picked up.

I wandered around in the Hollywood Hills(above), its so beautiful and quite in some parts.

fashion film

Happy three day weekend loves.

I love vimeo. It's like a giant wonderful collection of different  art forms. Here are some of my favorite "fashion films" from vimeo.

"when I'm alone i like to pretend I'm in a movie"
"i like to collect things, I'm good at it"

Now on to some of my favorite (real) fashion films, one by anthropologie and one by free people.

Concert: ED

ED.

Tuesday i saw a marvelous artist named Ed. Ed Sheeran.  He truly is beautiful. His music and voice and everything about him is beautiful. His concert was by far the best concert i have ever been to. (even better then a Taylor Swift concert, which is basically like a Broadway show).

My Concert Outfit:
I went with a simple black and white with a pop of red on my lips for my concert outfit. Layers are super import when going to concerts so over my outfit i threw on a simple long black sweater.

Top: American Apparel, Skirt: Urban Outfitters  Tights: Nordstrom, Bag: Vintage, Shoes(unseen): black pumps by Steve Madden.

My photo
He was complexly rocking out! Loved it!

My photo

I was truly lucky to see him at such a small venue before he goes on tour with T-swift (which i happen to also be going to, what can i say i love him). The concert was much more like a small little party and it was really awesome to be that close to the stage.

Here is one of my favorite ed songs:

live colorfully

Kate Spade you have done it again. Kate Spade's recent NYFW show was phenomenal. I literally cannot stop obsessing about how cool this show was. Kate Spade always is the perfect mix of classy but cute.

There show even had a vintage NYC taxi cab right in the middle!

Loving this simple cat eye look.

I love that Kate Spade shows are more like an art gallery instead of a runway. Fashion is Art anyways.

These graphic sweaters where so cute!
