The 17 year old dreamer

I turned the marvelous age of 17 last friday. 

Thought I would share a few of my favorite things;

Horoscopes rock. Period.

My fashion Introduction: 

the first time I was really introduced to the fashion world was when my cousin took me shoe shopping for her wedding. That as the first time i ever stepped foot in a Nordstrom. From then on i was hooked.

Fashion Icon: Lily Collins 

Movies are wonderful things. Film has always been apart of my life in a big way; here are two of my favorites.

Imagine Dragons are beautiful.

Leo Dicaprio is my love.

  

I have a major sweet tooth. Macarons and ice cream are my life. 

I spend about a 1/16 of my life in Hawaii.

Best advice someone ever gave me:

1. Act confident, because even if you aren't people cant tell the difference.

2. Be kind to everyone no matter how much they have hurt you.

3. Do what you love

Flowers that make my day: peonies

Hopes and Dreams: Doing what i love: Fashion. Living somewhere in Europe. Traveling often. I love the thought of how different cultures in different place have an effect on fashion.

Summer Prints and Twirly Dresses

I am head over heels in love with dresses, i am almost always in a dress or skirt. I am so excited it is getting warmer so i can break out all my fun summer dresses. This summer season prints are really big, not just typical prints but amazing unique out-of-the-box prints. 

Pattern mixing is one of favorites. It's perfectly mismatched with a feminine touch.

You can never go wrong with black and white prints!

Florals are perfection. Always.

Be BOLD! with bright sold print dresses. Add simple jewelry for an elegant touch. 

White dress are simply marvelous  They make you look youthful and chic. add some cool bohemian jewelry for a Summer time look.

I am obsessed with these Brandy Melville shorts so much. I am always wearing them! I've even considered going and buy them in all the different prints brandy has to offer. They are simple and light weight so that you stay cool on a summer day.

For those fun summertime amusement park days:

These overalls make me simile every time i wear them. They are super fun and unique. I have named them the Train Track Overalls because they remind me of a vintage train conductors uniform.

Suggestion: wear a bando under a crochet top. Mine is not pictured but i paired the outfit with a bright colored bando to give it a pop of color. 

For those cooler Summer Days:

Everyone should own the perfect sun hat. Everyone. They protect your face from the sun and look great with anything from jeans to a sundress.

Met Gala Magnificent

The Met Gala is my favorite red carpet event of the year. The gowns are always perfection.

In honor of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Punk Fashion installation for their 2013 spring costume institute exhibition, their theme for the gala was PUNK! 

...

Here are some of my favorite looks from this year's Gala: 

CARA! the queen of punk! Her studded dress was amazeballs.

Sorry i didn't notice you without you typical cute unicorns/cats/bows printed dress. I love T.Swift's edgy look. She needs to rock this look more often!

SJP is a walking masterpiece. Her headpiece is to die for. 

But my absolute favorite of the night was...

Lily Collins! Vogue did a shoot of her and her date right before they headed to the Met.

I love the punk rocker detail in her dress.

Her makeup is amazing!
